January 08, 2010: “Above Suspicion: The Red Dahlia” Screen Captures

The final episode of Above Suspicion aired on Wednesday night, what did you think of Hannah’s performance? I’ve managed to download the episode at last, captures have been added to the gallery. Please be warned that there are several quite graphic images in the gallery, towards the start of the album

Also, brand new layout! What does everyone think? Big thanks must be given to the lovely Amanda who so generously donate the base theme – it’s about time this site had a new look! I’m still having a bit of trouble with the affiliates form, but everything else should be a-okay: please leave any problems in the comments!

The new layout is great. Just thought I’d say I’m very grateful for all the effort put into this site in general.

Hannah didn’t really get enough time to shine in this.. it was annoying Emily wasn’t explored more as she was pretty much reduced to not much more than a victim. Not Hannah’s fault of course, she managed to intrigue with she got to do, if in a rather Cassie-ish way. Love her delivery of the line about “shepards pie” the Wickenham family were just kooky even when you leave the kink, incest and murder out of the equation!

I thought Hannah played the role of Emily perfectly. From her first meeting with Travis & Langton, I just KNEW her father had been abusing her. She got that silent point across expertly. I don’t know what it was, but I was convinced that she was younger, maybe 14/15. To find out she is the same age as me was a shocker.
I suppose I feel in love with her after that point. Nobody I have seen so far has played the part of the abused daughter so convincingly.

Oh, and the “shepards pie” line was so cute, not to mention her zealotry with the ketuchup!

I did assume she was playing quite a bit younger than she actually is in this (like in the Marple thing) but then she wasl living in her own place (kudos on the copy of Watchmen!) so I don’t know.

She’s heart breakingly fragile and jittery in it, just wish she’d got more screen time.
